If you buy a domain name and create a webpage on Microsoft Word, do you have to have a web host?

I’m making a website and need to know if I can just load a webpage i created to a domain name I purchase. Is it absolute certain that i need a web host?

  3. Yes, you need a web host. If you get web hosting from a good provider they will assist you in setting up your domain name with your hosting.

    There are many web hosting providers and you might become confused to choose which one. It is very important that you choose a good web host. Good doesn’t mean expensive. Good means reliable with great support.

    But, let’s face it – how do you know if a web host is good or not? They all look pretty much the same and they seem like they know what they are doing, right? Well, I recommend reading reviews so that you may compare and become more familiar with the hosting companies before making a decision.

  4. Yes you can not get your page on the internet without hosting, but it is not worth it to go with any one host without doing your research first. You should consider going to a website like http://www.hostgumbo.com … they have an up to date pricing and features comparison chart for the top 2009 web hosts. The site is free to use and they also run really cool promotions and giveaways. They just paid for the first 3 months for my hosting with HostGator, but they will pay for the first 3 months of your hosting no matter which one of their advertised hosts you decide to use!

    As what they said, absolutely yes. For your website to be uploaded in the web it needs a host if you have the budget to buy your own server then proceed but if your just starting up its good to start in small. Check this site http://www.hubporthosting.com/ this is where I hosted my site. They offer cheap package but they have good technical services.

    There are also a lot of web host offerings just search in the web and look for web hosting.

    Just an advice be wise and critical in choosing a web host. Good Luck!
